Andy Heath is a filmmaker from Staffordshire, UK, who recently graduated with a Master’s in Film Directing from Edinburgh College of Art and previously graduated from Liverpool John Moores University. He was awarded the Lynda La Plante Fund Prize for Practice as Research for his mixed-media dissertation. He has made multiple sensory-based short films in both Fiction and Documentary that focus on nature, landscape, and the ecological connections between humans, animals, and their surroundings.

Synopsis

As the trees in the forest speak, a sound recordist attempts to capture their voice. Their words hide deep within the soil, far beyond the perspective of humans or technical equipment. A Voice Once Heard explores how a transformation to a non-human perspective may unveil this hidden element of the natural world.
