Iris Peil enrolled the Baltic Film and Media School in 2020, graduating this year with BA film directing. Since her enrolment in BFM she has made three short films as a director/screenwriter. In addition, she has also gained experience with directing several commercials and music videos. Ab Absurdo is her latest short film. Besides film directing, Iris has had 8 years of experience as an art director and costume designer. She also considers painting and design as an important creative outlet for her. Iris likes to explore emotions with main emphasis on one’s inner conflicts and philosophical dilemmas in her work.

Synopsis

A lifelong obsession with the meaning of existence and death takes a compelling turn when Jonas meets Ada, a gifted and enigmatic theatre actor. Now a theatre director himself, Jonas crafts Ada’s final act, blurring the lines between reality and performance.
