Director
Jasmijn Kooijman is a Dutch born filmmaker currently living in Sweden. Her debut short documentary, My New Home is a Trailer won the Tempo New Doc Award. Since then, she has directed several short films and developed a feature documentary. Her most recent short “Dance my Doll” was screened at festivals across Europe and has been nominated for a Guldbagge (Swedish Academy Award) for the Best Short.


Synopsis
The lives of bureaucrats, activists, and immigrants intersect in this timely exploration of an inherently flawed asylum system. Dance My Doll documents the inequality with which asylum seekers are treated along with the struggles of those who champion their right to residency.
