Lucas Kua started out as a writer of original short fiction before making the switch to filmmaking. Fighting a tiger-mom to pursue it for real and the subsequent failures never stopped him from wanting to fight for his right to tell the stories dearest to his heart.

Synopsis

Through a contemporary and passionate dance, Lucas Kua addresses how social media enables its users to portray a false persona and emphasises problems of modern-day relationships in the digital age. Obscura centres around a couple, who’s relationship now concerns proving their love to strangers online instead of devoting it to one another.
