Director

Daniel Tan Wen Long is a film student currently pursuing a BA (Hons) in Film at LASALLE College of the Arts. He graduated with a Diploma in Digital Film and Television from Temasek Polytechnic in 2020. In 2025, Daniel spent a semester in the Philippines on a student exchange at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. Daniel has written and directed several short films, including his most recent work, Portrait (2025), made in collaboration with the Mapletree Young Filmmakers Initiative in honour of SG60. The film was screened and awarded the Grand Jury Prize at Bakunawa Fest 12 in the Philippines. He also directed Wet Cigarettes (2025), which won Best Directing at ADM Film Rush.

Synopsis

A photographer entrusted with capturing the final images of the recently deceased, struggles to balance his secretive profession against the pressures of his home life.
