We’ve had an incredible response to our call for entries but everything must come to an end. If you’ve yet to submit, this is the last chance for 2025 LJMU MA Short Film Festival entries. Our MA students are currently hard at work viewing this year’s submissions so if you want the opportunity to be featured in our fifth edition, you’ll need to act quickly!
We’re accepting submissions from student filmmakers in the categories of Fiction, Animation, Documentary, and Experimental – all films must have been made after January 2022 and in the context of a higher education institution, and be no more than 20 minutes in length. As always, films will be competing for our coveted Paper Bird Awards which encapsulate the spirit and identity of the festival.
So, if you’re a student filmmaker whose work meets the above criteria, don’t miss out on the chance to be part of our 2025 festival programme – we can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!
